Karter's First Birthday Mustache Bash!

This weekend we had Karter's first birthday party,
I really can't believe that my sweet baby boy is one already,
seems like just yesterday I was lying in the OR FaceTime-ing
with Lorne in Afghanistan while he was born.
Karter has been such a beautiful surprise for our family and
I can't imagine my life with out him in it.

Here's the invitation we used (I've blurred the address)
I love a good pun!

Soda Labels are from the Mustache Madness collection from BirthdayDirect.com
Mustache Straws and Lollies from OrientalTrading.com

I created the printables with graphics from JW Illustrations
We had Stache Sugar Cookies and Manly Crunch (Apple Slices)

Chocolate Cigars (Pirouettes)
M&M Mini Tubes as Favors

Root Beers for the grown ups

and Milk Mustaches (Chocolate Milks)
for the kiddies

Real Man (Red Velvet) Cupcakes
I bought the cupcakes because I didn't have time to make them,
the party was at my mom's house, which is a five hour drive
from our house so store bought it was--don't judge me!
With mustache picks from Oriental Trading

Ranch Bowtie Pasta

My famous(ly easy) pulled pork sliders with pickle toppers

More of the Mustache Madness collection party supplies

and here's some more fun pics of the family!

Happy First Birthday, my sweet baby!

House Reveal Part One-Karter's Room

Say hello to the new Casa Verde!
We just bought our first house and we're super excited!
It's still in the decorating process, because it takes me a while to
decide where I want everything, I was just thinking this afternoon,
I might move around the sectional in the living room.

Anyway, family and friends have been asking to see it so
I figured I'd give you all a glimpse inside the one and only room
that I consider done (well done enough lol).

Karter's Room!
Karter's blanket was made by his Aunt Kenz
I painted the painting to the left
Light is from IKEA (gah, I love that store)
Elvis print I took from my grandmothers house

This painting was done by my momma,
Karter's Nanny
I guess I got a lot of pics of his bed haha
 And another of my paintings
Big Ol' Mason Jar of Pacifiers
and one of the Singing Elvis Dogs
my grandma had since I was a kid.
I had to have this one, it sings Jailhouse Rock!

We are still looking for a record frame to hang the
Johnny Cash albums we have, but other than that
our littlest Rockstar is all set!

Next room...Kaylee Bug's!
